FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH: Love Songs For Tough Guys
February 11, 2010Los Angeles metallers FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH are spending Valentine's Day in a very unique way. The band, recently announced as main-stage artists on this year's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, is hosting the syndicated radio special "Love Songs For Tough Guys". The program features hard rock songs that are appropriate for Valentine's Day — hit tracks that even guys can admit they like on Valentine's, the sappiest of holidays.
The special features some of the best hard rock "love" songs in existence. It will air this Valentine's Day weekend on over 45 rock radio stations, including KBPI in Denver, KPNT in St. Louis, WMMR in Philadelphia, 93X in Minneapolis and KUPD in Phoenix. FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH is currently headlining the "Five Finger Discount Tour" with SHADOWS FALL, GOD FORBID, and 2CENTS. In most markets, the first 100 women to show up at each show get in free. The trek continues through February 21 and is once again proving to be one of the biggest club tours of the season.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's new album, "War Is the Answer", has sold 170,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard chart last fall, marking the band's highest chart position to date.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's new single, "Walk Away", is shooting up Alternative and Active Rock Radio charts and getting a very strong reaction nationwide.
